Birmingham City University Chief Visits Covenant University Business School

Covenant University’s Business School has continued to enjoy unprecedented attraction from similar
Schools abroad. Recently, the School was at the centre of discussions during the visit of the Director, International Collaboration Programme of Birmingham City University (BCU) Business School, Dr. Osita Chukwulobelu to the University.

Dr. Chukwulobelu, who had a meeting with the Management team of Covenant University, said he was in the University as part of actions to set in motion activities that would give life to the Memorandum of Understanding his University is to sign with Covenant University, on the heels of their trip to the United Kingdom.

The students, numbering over 200, drawn from three polytechnics in Ilaro, Igbesa and Abeokuta under the auspices of National Association of Polytechnics Students, Ogun State axis blocked some major roads in the ancient city.

Armed with placards with inscriptions such as: ‘Government please. don’t jeopardise our future’, ‘Government, don’t destroy polytechnics’, ‘Federal Government please save our souls’ and ‘Our lecturers deserve the best’ among others.

OAU student who gave birth in the toilet names her Nifemi,Okikiola

The baby delivered in the toilet of Moremi Hostel by a 400-level student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Oyinlola Rotimi, has been named Nifemi, Okikiola.

Rotimi, who gave birth last Tuesday, was initially accused of attempting to flush her baby boy down the septic tank.

But it was later learnt that Rotimi, who was inexperienced in child bearing, thought she had a stomach upset when she was actually in labour.
